I have a pair of Clarke’s leather desert boots which are ageing beautifully but the thin soles can make walking a tiresome business. For a budget desert boot get a pair of Roamers from Blacks in Cheshire St off Brick Lane. I wore them home from the shop in comfort. The toe is a little more rounded than I’d prefer but for under 20 quid and such a good fit I can live with it.

You may be dressed in a swanky suit and expensive belt but if your shoes don’t make the grade as well, then the whole outfit is just ruined. Shoes aren’t only chosen for their functionality, style and quality play a major role on whether a shoe makes the cut.

Check this article out!! It gives great tips on going sockless. I like you struggled for ages with sweaty feet and the resulting bad smell, but invisible socks or a specific foot deodorant really work well.

Lightweight tailoring/boots and shorts mash up I’m thinking.

I pretty much live in my stone desert boots from River Island and I bought them about 2 and a half years ago! Still going strong and look better than the day I bought them.

I find that River Island in particular are great for desert boots, both in quality and the actual silhouette of the boot.
