Levi’s is to denim what Walkers is to crisps. You might try out other brands, but nothing quite hits the spot like the classics. It’s no surprise, then, that when Levi’s wanted to release a new three-digit fit, it dug into the archives. The 163-year-old denim brand has re-introduced one of its most iconic styles, in an all new modern take. First launched in 1967, the 505 was favoured for its slim cut shape by everyone from the Rolling Stones to The Ramones. These days, customers are increasingly seeking out vintage styles, leading Levi’s to launch the 505C. Think slimmer fit, new medium rise and a variety of colours and washes. The age of free love and drug use without suspected health implications may be over, but Levi’s influence is alive and well. Levi’s 505C jeans are available online and in stores now, priced from £85.
